आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च

ततः प्रत्यब्रवीद्‌ वाक्यमृषिर्मा क्रोधमूर्च्छित: । व्याधस्त्वं भविता क्रूर शूद्रयोनाविति द्विज,मेरी बात सुनकर ऋषि क्रोधसे व्याकुल हो गये और उत्तर देते हुए बोले--“निर्दयी ब्राह्मण! तू शूद्रयोनिमें जन्म लेकर व्याध होगा"

tataḥ pratyabravīd vākyam ṛṣir mā krodha-mūrcchitaḥ | vyādhas tvaṁ bhavitā krūra śūdra-yonāv iti dvija ||

ครั้นได้ฟังดังนั้น ฤๅษีผู้ถูกโทสะครอบงำจึงกล่าวตอบว่า “เจ้าผู้โหดร้าย! เจ้าจักไปเกิดในครรภ์ศูทรและเป็นวฺยาธะ (นายพราน/คนฆ่าสัตว์) โอ ทวิชะ!”
