हृष्टपुष्टजनाकीर्णा नित्योत्सवसमाकुलाम् | सो<पश्यद् बहुवृत्तान्तां ब्राह्मण: समतिक्रमन्
hṛṣṭapuṣṭajanākīrṇā nityotsavasamākulām | so 'paśyad bahuvṛttāntāṃ brāhmaṇaḥ samatikraman
มารกัณฑेयกล่าวว่า—เมื่อพราหมณ์นั้นเดินทางต่อไป เขาได้เห็นนครหนึ่งอันแน่นขนัดด้วยผู้คนร่าเริงสมบูรณ์ แข็งแรง มีงานมหรสพเฉลิมฉลองทุกเมื่อ และเต็มไปด้วยเหตุการณ์กับภาพชีวิตนานาประการ
