पण्यैश्व बहुभियुक्तां सुविभक्तमहापथाम् । अश्व रथैस्तथा नागैयोचधैश्व बहुभिय्युताम्
paṇyaiś ca bahubhir yuktāṃ suvibhakta-mahāpathām | aśva-rathais tathā nāgair yodhaiś ca bahubhir yutām ||
มารกัณฑยะกล่าวว่า: นครนั้นอุดมด้วยสินค้านานาประการ ถนนหลวงใหญ่ถูกจัดวางและแบ่งสรรอย่างเป็นระเบียบ อีกทั้งแน่นขนัดด้วยม้า รถศึก ช้าง และเหล่านักรบเป็นอันมาก
