Educational Q&A

Regular listening to a dharmic narrative—especially one exemplifying Manu’s righteous conduct—is presented as spiritually purifying (destroying sin) and as a means to well-being and the fulfillment of life’s aims.

This verse functions as a concluding phalaśruti: Mārkaṇḍeya closes his narration by declaring the merit gained from hearing the story daily from the start—happiness, success in aims, and attainment of higher realms.
