न होतत् संयुगे कर्तुमपि शक्तः सुरेश्वर: (ध्रुवं धनंजय प्रीतस्त्वयि शक्र: पुरार्दन ।) सुरासुरैरवध्यं हि पुरमेतत् खगं महत्
na hotat saṁyuge kartum api śaktaḥ sureśvaraḥ (dhruvaṁ dhanaṁjaya prītas tvayi śakraḥ purārdana |) surāsurair avadhyaṁ hi puram etat khagaṁ mahat
แม้จอมเทพก็ไม่อาจกระทำสิ่งนั้นให้สำเร็จได้ในสนามรบ แน่นอนทีเดียว โอ้ธนัญชยะ โอ้ปุรารทนะ ศักระย่อมพอพระทัยในท่าน เพราะนครใหญ่ซึ่งเหินเวหานี้เป็นสิ่งที่ทั้งเทพและอสูรไม่อาจทำลายได้
