Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)

तपोबलेन महता बाहुवेगबलेन च । नित्यमेव दुराधर्षो धर्षयन्‌ स दिते: सुत:,“अपने महान्‌ तपोबल तथा वेगयुक्त बाहुबलसे वह देवताओंके लिये सदा अजेय बना रहता था और स्वयं सब देवताओंको सताया करता था

tapobalena mahatā bāhuvegabalena ca | nityam eva durādharṣo dharṣayan sa diteḥ sutaḥ ||

ด้วยเดชตบะอันยิ่งใหญ่และแรงพุ่งแห่งกำลังแขนอันรุนแรง บุตรแห่งทิติผู้นั้นยากจะปราบได้เสมอ เป็นผู้ที่เหล่าเทพไม่อาจพิชิตได้ตลอดกาล และด้วยความทะนงในกำลังตน เขาจึงคอยรังควานและกดขี่เทพทั้งหลายอยู่เนืองนิตย์
