अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
काश्ये न काम गृह्नामि शस्त्र वै वरवर्णिनि । ऋते ब्रह्मविदां हेतो: किमनयत् करवाणि ते
kāśye na kāma gṛhṇāmi śastraṃ vai varavarṇini | ṛte brahmavidāṃ hetoḥ kim anyat karavāṇi te ||
โอ ธิดาแห่งกาศีผู้ผิวพรรณงามและสูงศักดิ์ เรามิได้หยิบอาวุธขึ้นด้วยความใคร่ส่วนตน หากมิใช่ด้วยเหตุอันเกี่ยวเนื่องแก่กิจและการคุ้มครองเหล่าพรหมวิท ผู้รู้พระเวท เราก็มิถือศัสตรา ดังนั้น เมื่อเรารักษาปฏิญาณไว้แล้ว เราจะยังรับใช้สิ่งใดแก่เจ้าได้อีกเล่า?
