अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः

Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic

रूपाण्यनेकान्यसृजत्‌ प्रादुर्भावे भवाय स: । वाराहं नारसिंहं च वामनं मानुषं तथा

rūpāṇy anekāny asṛjat prādurbhāve bhavāya saḥ | vārāhaṃ nārasiṃhaṃ ca vāmanaṃ mānuṣaṃ tathā ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—เพื่อเกื้อกูลโลกในกาลแห่งการอวตาร พระองค์ทรงบังเกิดเป็นรูปนานาประการ—ทั้งวราหะ นรสิงหะ วามนะ และแม้รูปมนุษย์—ปรากฏตามกาลอันควรเพื่อสถาปนาธรรมและคุ้มครองสรรพชีวิต
