Educational Q&A

Even in the fury of war, true greatness is not merely the capacity to overpower defenses, but the ability to act without arrogance. Strength coupled with humility aligns more closely with kṣatriya-dharma than prideful violence.

The narrator describes a powerful figure (‘īśvaraḥ’) striking down an opponent who is surrounded/protected by ten (fighters or layers of defense). The blow is depicted as overwhelming—‘by hundreds of thousands’—and aimed at vital regions (heart and belly), emphasizing the intensity and decisiveness of the combat.
