Dvaipāyana-hrade Duryodhanasya Māyā — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharmoktiḥ (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 30)
जित्वा वा पृथिवीं भुड्क्ष्व हतो वा स्वर्गमाप्तुहि । जिसमें राजा दुर्योधन सो रहा था, उस सरोवरके समीप पहुँचकर, वे जलमें सोये हुए उस दुर्धर्ष नरेशसे इस प्रकार बोले--“राजन्! उठो और हमारे साथ चलकर युधिष्ठिरसे युद्ध करो। विजयी होकर पृथ्वीका राज्य भोगो अथवा मारे जाकर स्वर्गलोक प्राप्त करो
jitvā vā pṛthivīṁ bhuṅkṣva hato vā svargam āptu hi |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ครั้นไปถึงสระที่พระเจ้าทุรโยธน์ซ่อนกายเอนอยู่ในน้ำ พวกเขากล่าวแก่กษัตริย์ผู้ยากจะปราบนั้นว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา จงลุกขึ้นเถิด มาร่วมกับเราไปทำศึกกับยุธิษฐิระ จงชนะแล้วเสวยแผ่นดิน หรือหากถูกสังหารก็จักได้สวรรค์แน่นอน”
