Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical gravity of war: even when actions align with perceived duty and vows, the outcome—total destruction of a lineage—carries profound moral and emotional weight, reminding readers that adharma-fueled conflict ends in collective ruin.

Sañjaya reports that Arjuna, after being addressed, tells Kṛṣṇa that Bhīma has killed all of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons—signaling the near-complete collapse of the Kaurava side and the decisive turning of the war’s final phase.
