Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
तथा ब्रुवत एवास्य भगवान् मधुसूदन: । मनसाचिन्तयच्चक्रं दैत्यवर्गनिष्दनम्,शिशुपाल इस तरहकी बातें कर ही रहा था कि भगवान् मधुसूदनने मन-ही-मन दैत्यवर्गविनाशक सुदर्शन चक्रका स्मरण किया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | tathā bruvata evāsya bhagavān madhusūdanaḥ | manasā cintayac cakraṃ daityavarga-niṣūdanam ||
ขณะที่ศิศุปาลยังกล่าวถ้อยคำเช่นนั้นอยู่ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า มธุสูทนะ ก็รำลึกในดวงจิตถึงจักรสุทรรศนะ ผู้ทำลายหมู่มารอสูร.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When speech becomes willfully abusive and disruptive in a sacred public setting, it ceases to be protected as mere opinion and becomes adharma; the verse foreshadows that righteous authority may act decisively to protect moral order after restraint has been exhausted.
As the offender continues speaking arrogantly, Kṛṣṇa (Madhusūdana) mentally calls forth the Sudarśana discus, indicating an imminent shift from patient forbearance to corrective action within the royal assembly.
