महागजा भ्राकुलमस्त्रतोयं वादित्रनेमीतलशब्दवच्च । हिरण्यचित्रायुधविद्युतं च शरासिनाराचमहास्त्रधारम्
sañjaya uvāca | mahāgajā bhrākulam astratoyaṃ vāditranemītalaśabdavat ca | hiraṇyacitrāyudhavidyutaṃ ca śarāsinārācamahāstradhāram |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า— “สนามรบนั้นค่อย ๆ กลายเป็นดุจพายุฝนไร้ฤดูกาล อันโหดร้ายและเป็นลางร้าย ก่อความพินาศแก่ผู้คน หมู่ช้างใหญ่รวมกันดั่งกองเมฆทึบทอดเงาคลุม อาวุธทั้งหลายเป็นดุจสายน้ำ เสียงเครื่องประโคมและเสียงล้อรถศึกครืนครั่นประหนึ่งฟ้าร้อง อาวุธวิจิตรฝังทองวาบวับดั่งสายฟ้า และมีสายฝนแห่งมหาศัสตราโปรยไม่ขาด—ทั้งศร ดาบ และหลาวเหล็ก”
