अनाश्षचर्य हि तत् त्वत्तस्त्वं हि पार्थ महारथ: । 'पार्थ! सब राजा जानते हैं कि सिंधुराज जयद्रथका वध एक आश्वर्यभरी घटना है, किंतु तुमसे ऐसा होना कोई आश्चवर्यकी बात नहीं है; क्योंकि तुम असाधारण महारथी हो
anāścarya hi tat tvattas tvaṃ hi pārtha mahārathaḥ |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—“โอ้ ปารถะ! สิ่งนี้มิใช่เรื่องน่าอัศจรรย์เมื่อเกิดจากเจ้า เพราะเจ้าเป็นมหารถีแท้ แม้เหล่ากษัตริย์จะนับการสังหารชัยทรถ เจ้าแห่งสินธุ ว่าเป็นอัศจรรย์ แต่สำหรับเจ้าแล้ว ย่อมเป็นสิ่งสมควรตามกำลัง”
