कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira
न हि पश्यामि योद्धव्यं त्वया किज्चिद् धनंजय । ते ग्रस्ता धार्तराष्ट्रा हि भीमसेनेन धीमता,“धनंजय! यहाँ तुम्हें किसीके साथ युद्ध करना हो, ऐसा तो नहीं दिखायी देता; क्योंकि धृतराष्ट्रके पुत्रोंकोी बुद्धिमान भीमसेनने कालका ग्रास बना रखा है
sañjaya uvāca |
na hi paśyāmi yoddhavyaṃ tvayā kiñcid dhanañjaya |
te grastā dhārtarāṣṭrā hi bhīmasenena dhīmatā ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “โอ้ธนัญชยะ! เราไม่เห็นเลยว่ายังมีสิ่งใดเหลือให้ท่านต้องรบที่นี่ เพราะบุตรทั้งหลายของธฤตราษฏระถูกภีมเสนผู้ทรงปัญญาและมหากำลังกลืนกินไปแล้ว ประหนึ่งถูกมัจจุราชกลืนกลายเป็นเหยื่อ”
