कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
संयच्छामि हयानेष युध्यतो वै कपर्दिन: । पितामह बोले--देवताओ! तुमने जो कुछ कहा है, उसमें तनिक भी मिथ्या नहीं है। मैं युद्ध करते समय भगवान् शंकरके घोड़ोंको काबूमें रखूँगा
saṁyacchāmi hayān eṣa yudhyato vai kapardinaḥ |
ภีษมะผู้เป็นปิตามหากล่าวว่า “เหล่าเทพทั้งหลาย สิ่งที่ท่านกล่าวมานั้นมิได้มีความเท็จแม้แต่น้อย ในยามศึก เมื่อกปัรทิน (พระศิวะ) เข้าต่อสู้ ข้าจะเป็นผู้ควบคุมม้าทั้งหลายนี้ให้สงบอยู่ในบังเหียน”
