The Crow-and-Swan Exemplum as Counsel to Karṇa
यथा त्वं मे कथयसे तथा युद्धमवर्तत । न सन्ति सूत कौरव्या इति मे निश्चिता मतिः,धृतराष्ट्र बोले--संजय! तुमसे मैंने अबतक अत्यन्त तीव्र और दुःसह दुःख देनेवाली बहुत-सी घटनाएँ सुनी हैं। अपने पुत्रोंक विनाशकी बात भी सुन ली। सूत! जैसा तुम मुझसे कह रहे हो और जिस प्रकार वह युद्ध सम्पन्न हुआ, उसे देखते हुए मेरा यह दृढ़ निश्चय हो रहा है कि अब कुरुवंशी जीवित नहीं रहे
yathā tvaṁ me kathayase tathā yuddham avartata | na santi sūta kauravyā iti me niścitā matiḥ ||
ดังที่ท่านเล่าแก่ข้า สงครามก็เป็นไปเช่นนั้นจริง เพราะฉะนั้น โอ้สุตะ ความเห็นของข้าจึงแน่วแน่ว่า เหล่ากุรพ (เการพ) หาได้เหลืออยู่ไม่
