सत्कर्ता कुरुवृद्धानां पितृभक्तो महाव्रत: । जामदग्न्येन रामेण य: पुरा न पराजित:
satkartā kuruvṛddhānāṁ pitṛbhakto mahāvrataḥ | jāmadagnyena rāmeṇa yaḥ purā na parājitaḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “เขาเป็นผู้ถวายความเคารพแก่ผู้เฒ่าแห่งวงศ์กุรุอย่างสมควร เป็นผู้ภักดีต่อบรรพชน และมั่นคงในมหาปณิธาน ครั้งกาลก่อน แม้รามะแห่งชามทัคนยะ (ปรศุราม) ก็ยังมิอาจปราบเขาได้”
