कामार्थो पृष्ठत: कृत्वा लोभमोहानुसारिणौ । धर्म इत्येव सम्बुद्धास्तानुपास्व च पृच्छ च
kāmārtho pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtvā lobhamohānusāriṇau | dharma ityeva sambuddhās tān upāsva ca pṛccha ca ||
จงวางกามะและอรรถะ—กิจที่มักตามลาภะและโมหะ—ไว้เบื้องหลัง และจงรู้ว่าธรรมะเท่านั้นเป็นความดีสูงสุด เพราะฉะนั้นจงอยู่รับใช้มหาบุรุษผู้ประเสริฐ ผู้ใฝ่หาสัตสังคะอยู่เนืองนิตย์ ไม่เคยอิ่มเอมจากสิ่งนั้น ถืออาคมเป็นประมานสูงสุด และดำรงความสันโดษเสมอ; จงปรนนิบัติท่านและไต่ถามเพื่อคลายข้อสงสัยของตน
