पन्थान: सर्वनेतारो यज्ञवाहा: सनातना: । पितृपैतामहीं गुर्वीमुद्गहन्ति धुरं सदा

panthānaḥ sarva-netāro yajña-vāhāḥ sanātanāḥ | pitṛ-paitāmahīṁ gurvīm udgahnanti dhuraṁ sadā ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “พราหมณ์คือผู้ชี้ทางแก่ทุกคน เป็นผู้นำ และเป็นผู้สืบสานยัญพิธีอันเป็นนิรันดร์ พวกเขาแบกแอกอันหนักแห่งธรรมจารีตที่สืบทอดมาจากบิดาและปู่ย่าตายายอยู่เสมอ”
