ब्राह्मणा: सर्वलोकानां महान्तो धर्मसेतव: । धनत्यागाभिरामाक्ष वाक्संयमरताक्षू ये,ब्राह्मण समस्त जगत्की धर्ममर्यादाका संरक्षण करनेवाले सेतुके समान हैं। वे धनका त्याग करके प्रसन्न होते हैं और वाणीका संयम रखते हैं
brāhmaṇāḥ sarvalokānāṁ mahānto dharmasetavaḥ | dhanatyāgābhirāmāś ca vāksaṁyamaratāś ca ye ||
พราหมณ์ทั้งหลายยิ่งใหญ่ดุจสะพานที่ค้ำจุนขอบเขตแห่งธรรมะให้แก่โลกทั้งปวง ท่านยินดีในการสละทรัพย์ และตั้งมั่นอยู่ในความสำรวมแห่งวาจา
