आवर्तनो निवृत्तात्मा संवृत: सम्प्रमर्दन: । अहःसंवर्तको वल्लिरनिलो धरणीधर:

Transliteration

āvartano nivṛttātmā saṁvṛtaḥ sampramardanaḥ | ahaḥsaṁvartako vahnir anilo dharaṇīdharaḥ ||

Translation

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า: พระองค์คืออาวรรตนะ ผู้หมุนกงล้อแห่งสังสารวัฏ; แต่พระอาตมันของพระองค์ทรงนิวฤตตะ คือพ้นจากพันธนาการอยู่เนืองนิตย์. แม้ทรงถูกปกคลุมด้วยโยคมายาของพระองค์เอง พระองค์ก็ยังทรงเป็นพลังที่บดขยี้และปราบปรามสรรพสิ่งด้วยรูปอันดุดัน. ในรูปสุริยะทรงให้กำเนิดกลางวันโดยชอบ; ในรูปอัคนีทรงนำพาเครื่องบูชา; ในรูปวายุทรงเคลื่อนไหวเป็นลมหายใจ; และในฐานะผู้ทรงธรณี—ดุจวราหะและเศษะ—ทรงค้ำจุนโลกทั้งปวง.
