मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
तावत् संवत्सरा: प्रोक्ता ब्रह्मलोकेडस्यथ धीमत: । मेघ जम्बूद्वीपमें जितने जलबिन्दुओंकी वर्षा करता है, उतने हजार वर्षोतक उस बुद्धिमान् पुरुषका ब्रह्मलोकमें निवास बताया गया है
tāvat saṃvatsarāḥ proktā brahmaloke yathā dhīmataḥ | megho jambūdvīpe yāvanto jalabindūn varṣati tāvantaḥ sahasra-varṣāṇi tasya dhīmataḥ puruṣasya brahmaloke nivāsaḥ proktaḥ ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า ระยะเวลาพำนักของผู้มีปัญญาในพรหมโลกนั้นได้ประกาศไว้ดังนี้: เมฆฝนโปรยหยดน้ำลงเหนือชมพูทวีปมากเพียงใด เขาย่อมพำนักในพรหมโลกเป็นเวลานับพันปีเท่าจำนวนนั้น
