Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
लोकसंलोडडनं घोर कृतान्तसमदर्शनम् | तमागतमभिप्रेक्ष्य भगवान् कश्यपस्तदा । विदित्वा चास्य संकल्पमिदं वचनमत्रवीत्,वे समस्त संसारको भयसे कम्पित किये देते थे। उनकी मूर्ति बड़ी भयंकर थी। वे साक्षात् यमराजके समान दिखायी देते थे। उन्हें आया देख उस समय भगवान् कश्यपने उनका संकल्प जानकर इस प्रकार कहा
lokasaṁloḍḍanaṁ ghoraṁ kṛtāntasamadārśanam | tam āgatam abhiprekṣya bhagavān kaśyapas tadā | viditvā cāsya saṅkalpam idaṁ vacanam abravīt ||
เขาเป็นผู้มีอานุภาพน่าสะพรึง สามารถทำให้ทั้งโลกสั่นสะท้านด้วยความหวาดกลัว และปรากฏดุจพระยมราชเอง ครั้นเห็นเขามาถึง พระกัศยปผู้เป็นมหาฤๅษีทราบเจตนาในดวงใจแล้ว จึงกล่าวถ้อยคำนี้
