ऊर्ध्व चाधश्न सर्पन्ति पृष्ठतः पारश्वतस्तथा । अर्चिषस्ते महावीर्य रश्मय: सवितुर्यथा,महावीर्य! आपकी ज्वालाएँ सूर्यकी किरणोंके समान ऊपर-नीचे, आगे-पीछे तथा अगल-बगल सब ओर फैल रही हैं

Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: ūrdhvaṃ cādhaś ca sarpanti pṛṣṭhataḥ pārśvatas tathā | arciṣas te mahāvīrya raśmayaḥ savitur yathā ||

ข้าแต่มหาวีรยะ เปลวเพลิงของท่านแผ่ลามขึ้นและลง ไปเบื้องหลังและด้านข้าง—ทั่วทุกทิศ—ดุจรัศมีแห่งพระสุริยะ
