निशम्य पुत्रकान्‌ बालान्‌ माता तेषां तपस्विनी । जरिता शोकदुः:खार्ता विललाप सुदु:ःखिता,उन बच्चोंको छोटे जानकर उनकी तपस्विनी माता शोक और दु:खसे आतुर हुई जरिता बहुत दुःखी होकर विलाप करने लगी

Transliteration

niśamya putrakān bālān mātā teṣāṃ tapasvinī | jaritā śokaduḥkhārtā विललाप suduḥkhitā ||

Translation

ครั้นได้ยินว่าบุตรทั้งหลายยังเป็นเพียงเด็กน้อย มารดาผู้บำเพ็ญตบะของพวกเขา คือชริตา ก็ถูกความโศกและความทุกข์ครอบงำ นางเศร้าโศกยิ่งนักและร่ำไห้คร่ำครวญ
