वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct expressed as measured movement and reverence: one travels with restraint (śanaiḥ) and acknowledges sanctity where ascetics dwell, suggesting that proximity to tapas and holy places should cultivate humility and self-control.
The narrator states that, after seeing Mount Mahendra adorned by ascetics, the traveler continues along the ocean’s shoreline and gradually arrives at Maṇipūra, marking a stage in a larger journey through significant sacred and regional landmarks.
