Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic order in a hermitage: learned brāhmaṇas are welcomed and the āśrama becomes complete through their presence; Arjuna’s bathing in the Gaṅgā underscores personal purity, restraint, and readiness to act in accordance with dharma.

After the hermitage becomes crowded/fully occupied with learned and noble brāhmaṇas, Arjuna (son of Kuntī) goes down to the river Gaṅgā to bathe, marking a transition to a purificatory act within the ongoing episode.
