Chapter 213

कृताभिषेकैर्विद्वद्धिर्नियतै: सत्पथि स्थितै: । शुशुभे5तीव तदू राजन्‌ गड्जाद्वारं महात्मभि:,गंगाके तटपर जब अलग-अलग अग्नियाँ प्रज्वलित हो गयीं और सन्मार्गमें स्थित एवं मन-इन्द्रियोंको वशमें रखनेवाले विद्वान्‌ ब्राह्मणलोग स्नान करके फूलोंके उपहार चढ़ाकर जब पूर्वोक्त अग्नियोंमें आहुति दे चुके, तब उन महात्माओंके द्वारा उस गंगाद्वार नामक तीर्थकी शोभा बहुत बढ़ गयी

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: kṛtābhiṣekair vidvadbhir niyataiḥ satpathi sthitaiḥ | śuśubhe 'tīva tadā rājan gaṅgādvāraṁ mahātmabhiḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—ข้าแต่พระราชา! ในกาลนั้นคงคาทวาระรุ่งเรืองยิ่งนัก เพราะเหล่ามหาตมะผู้ทรงวิชา มีวินัย ตั้งมั่นในหนทางธรรม ได้ประกอบพิธีอาบน้ำชำระและพิธีอภิษेकเป็นต้นโดยถูกต้องตามแบบแผน
