Ādi-parva, Adhyāya 187: Drupada’s Inquiry and the Dharma Debate on Draupadī’s Marriage

केचिदासन्‌ विमनस: केचिदासन्‌ मुदान्विता: । आहुः परस्परं केचिन्निपुणा बुद्धिजीविन:,कुछ ब्राह्मण उदास हो गये और कुछ प्रसन्नताके मारे फूल उठे तथा कुछ चतुर एवं बुद्धिजीवी ब्राह्मण आपसमें इस प्रकार कहने लगे--

kechid āsan vimanasaḥ kechid āsan mudānvitāḥ | āhuḥ parasparaṃ kechin nipuṇā buddhijīvinaḥ ||

บางคนใจหม่นหมอง บางคนเปี่ยมปีติยินดี และพราหมณ์บางพวกผู้ชำนาญ ผู้ดำรงชีพด้วยปัญญา ก็เริ่มสนทนากันดังนี้
