अध्याय १८४ — भैक्षविभागः, शयनविधानम्, धृष्टद्युम्नस्य निवेदनम्

Alms Distribution, Night Lodging, and Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s Report

यज्ञसेनस्यथ कामस्तु पाण्डवाय किरीटिने । कृष्णां दद्यामिति सदा न चैतद्‌ विवृणोति सः,राजा ट्रुपदके मनमें सदा यही इच्छा रहती थी कि मैं पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुनके साथ द्रौपदीका ब्याह करूँ। परंतु वे अपने इस मनोभावको किसीपर प्रकट नहीं करते थे

yajñasenasya tha kāmas tu pāṇḍavāya kirīṭine | kṛṣṇāṃ dadyām iti sadā na caitad vivṛṇoti saḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า พระเจ้ายัชญเสนะ (ทฺรุปทะ) ทรงดำริอยู่เสมอว่า “เราจักยกกฤษณา (เทฺราปที) ให้แก่อรชุน ปาณฑพผู้สวมมงกุฎ” แต่พระองค์มิได้ทรงเปิดเผยพระดำรินั้นแก่ผู้ใดเลย
