तामन्वेष्ट स नृपति: परिचक्राम सर्वतः । वन॑ वनजपत्राक्षीं भ्रमन्नुन्मत्ततत्‌ तदा,तब वे नरेश कमलदलके समान विशाल नेत्रोंवाली उस (दिव्य) कन्याको ढूँढ़नेके लिये वनमें सब ओर उन्मत्तकी भाँति भ्रमण करने लगे

tām anvēṣṭa sa nṛpatiḥ paricakrāma sarvataḥ | vanaṁ vanajapatrākṣīṁ bhramann unmatta-tat tadā ||

ครั้นเสาะแสวงหานาง พระราชาก็เวียนไปทั่วทุกทิศในป่า และในห้วงความกระสับกระส่ายนั้น พระองค์พเนจรดุจผู้เสียสติ เพื่อค้นหานางผู้มีดวงตาดุจกลีบบัว
