देवगन्धर्ववाहास्ते दिव्यवर्णा मनोजवा: । क्षीणाक्षीणा भवन्त्येते न हीयन्ते च रंहस:,वे घोड़े देवताओं और गन्धर्वोंके वाहन हैं। उनके शरीरकी कान्ति दिव्य है। वे मनके समान वेगशाली और आवश्यकताके अनुसार दुबले-मोटे होते हैं; किंतु उनका वेग कभी कम नहीं होता

devagandharvavāhās te divyavarṇā manojavāḥ | kṣīṇākṣīṇā bhavanty ete na hīyante ca raṁhasaḥ ||

คนธรรพ์กล่าวว่า “ม้าเหล่านี้เป็นพาหนะของเหล่าเทพและคนธรรพ์ มีรัศมีทิพย์ และมีความเร็วประหนึ่งจิตนึก จะผอมหรืออวบตามความจำเป็นก็ได้ แต่ความฉับไวของมันไม่เคยเสื่อมลง”
