आमन्त्य ब्राह्मा्ं पूर्वमभिवाद्यानुमान्य च । समैरुदड्मुखैर्मार्गर्यथोद्दिष्टं परंतपा:,परंतप! कुन्तीकुमारोंने पहले ही अपने आश्रयदाता ब्राह्मणसे पूछकर जानेकी आज्ञा ले ली थी और चलते समय बड़े आदरके साथ उन्हें प्रणाम किया। वे सब लोग उत्तर दिशाकी ओर जानेवाले सीधे मार्गोॉद्वारा उत्तराभिमुख हो अपने अभीष्ट स्थान पंचालदेशकी ओर बढ़ने लगे

āmantya brāhmān pūrvam abhivādyānumānya ca | samair udanmukhair mārgair yathoddiṣṭaṃ paraṃtapāḥ ||

เหล่าบุตรแห่งกุนตีผู้เผาผลาญศัตรู ได้กราบลาเหล่าพราหมณ์ผู้เป็นที่พึ่งก่อน ทั้งถวายอภิวาทและรับคำอนุญาตแล้ว จึงออกเดินทางตามทางตรงที่มุ่งสู่ทิศเหนือดังที่ชี้แนะ ไปยังแคว้นปัญจาละอันเป็นจุดหมายที่ปรารถนา
