Chapter 157

मथ्यमानेन दुःखेन हृदयेन पृथा तदा । उवाच भीम॑ं कल्याणी कृपान्वितमिदं वच:,उस समय उनका दु:ख मानो कुन्तीदेवीके हृदयको मथे डालता था। अत: कल्याणमयी कुन्ती भीमसेनसे इस प्रकार करुणायुक्त वचन बोलीं--“बेटा! हमलोग इस ब्राह्मणके घरमें दुर्योधनसे अज्ञात रहकर बड़े सुखसे निवास करते हैं। यहाँ हमारा इतना सत्कार हुआ है कि हम अपने दुःख और दैन्यको भूल गये हैं

mathyamānena duḥkhena hṛdayena pṛthā tadā | uvāca bhīmaṃ kalyāṇī kṛpānvitam idaṃ vacaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—ครั้งนั้น ปฤถา (กุนตี) ผู้เป็นมงคล มีดวงใจราวถูกกวนด้วยความทุกข์ จึงกล่าวถ้อยคำอันเปี่ยมเมตตาต่อภีมะ
