ततस्ते ज्ञापयामासुर्धुतराष्ट्रस्य नागरा: । पाण्डवानग्निना दग्धानमात्यं च पुरोचनम्,तदनन्तर वारणावतके नागरिकोंने धृतराष्ट्रको यह सूचित कर दिया कि पाण्डव तथा मन्त्री पुरोचन आगमें जल गये
tatas te jñāpayāmāsur dhṛtarāṣṭrasya nāgarāḥ | pāṇḍavān agninā dagdhān amātyaṃ ca purocanam ||
ครั้นแล้วชาวเมืองวารณาวตได้กราบทูลธฤตราษฏร์ว่า พวกปาณฑพถูกไฟเผามอดแล้ว และอำมาตย์ปุโรจนก็ด้วย
