खनकेन तु तेनैव वेश्म शोधयता बिलम्‌ । पांसुभि: पिहितं तच्च पुरुषैस्तैर्न लक्षितम्‌,उसी सुरंग खोदनेवाले पुरुषने घरको साफ करते समय सुरंगके छेदको धूलसे ढक दिया था। इससे दूसरे लोगोंकी दृष्टि उसपर नहीं पड़ी

khanakena tu tenaiva veśma śodhayatā bilam | pāṃsubhiḥ pihitaṃ tacca puruṣais tair na lakṣitam ||

ส่วนคนที่ขุดอุโมงค์นั้นเอง ครั้นทำความสะอาดเรือน ก็เอาฝุ่นกลบปากช่องอุโมงค์ไว้; ด้วยเหตุที่ถูกปิดบังเช่นนั้น คนอื่น ๆ จึงมิได้สังเกตเห็น
