आदि पर्व — अध्याय 148: कुन्ती–ब्राह्मणसंवादः (दुःखमूल-प्रश्नः) / Kuntī and the Brahmin: Inquiry into the Root of Suffering

अथ दानापदेशेन कुन्ती ब्राह्णभोजनम्‌ | चक्रे निशि महाराज आजम्मुस्तत्र योषित:,महाराज! तदनन्तर एक दिन रात्रिके समय कुन्तीने दान देनेके निमित्त ब्राह्मणग-भोजन कराया। उसमें बहुत-सी स्त्रियाँ भी आयी थीं। भारत! वे सब स्त्रियाँ इच्छानुसार घूम- फिरकर खा-पी लेनेके बाद कुन्तीदेवीसे आज्ञा ले रातमें फिर अपने-अपने घरोंको ही लौट गयीं

atha dānāpadeśena kuntī brāhmaṇabhojanam | cakre niśi mahārāja ājagmus tatra yoṣitaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “ต่อมา ข้าแต่มหาราช! กุนตีจัดภัตตาหารแก่พราหมณ์ในยามราตรี โดยอ้างเป็นการให้ทาน และมีสตรีจำนวนมากมาร่วมด้วย”
