Ādi-parva Adhyāya 141: Bhīma–Hiḍimba Confrontation and Protective Discourse

स एष पाण्डोर्दायाद्य॑ यदि प्राप्रोति पाण्डव: । तस्य पुत्रो ध्रुवं प्राप्तस्तस्य तस्यापि चापर:,यदि ये पाण्डुकुमार युधिष्छिर पाण्डुके राज्यको, जिसका उत्तराधिकारी पुत्र ही होता है, प्राप्त कर लेते हैं तो निश्चय ही उनके बाद उनका पुत्र ही इस राज्यका अधिकारी होगा और उसके बाद पुनः उसीकी पुत्रपरम्परामें दूसरे-दूसरे लोग इसके अधिकारी होते जायूँगे

sa eṣa pāṇḍor dāyādyaḥ yadi prāpnoti pāṇḍavaḥ | tasya putro dhruvaṃ prāptas tasya tasyāpi cāparaḥ ||

ทุรโยธนะกล่าวว่า “หากปาณฑพผู้นี้ ผู้เป็นทายาทโดยชอบของปาณฑุ ได้ราชสมบัติแล้ว หลังจากนั้นบุตรของเขาย่อมได้สืบต่อแน่นอน และต่อจากนั้นก็ยังมีผู้อื่นในสายวงศ์เดียวกันอีก ดังนี้อำนาจอธิปไตยจักสืบทอดไปตามลำดับบุตร หลายชั่วคน”
