तेषां दुर्योधन: श्रुत्वा तानि वाक्यानि जल्पताम्‌ । युधिष्ठिरानुरक्तानां पर्यतप्यत दुर्मति:,युधिष्ठिरमें अनुरक्त हो उपर्युक्त उदगार प्रकट करनेवाले लोगोंकी बातें सुनकर खोटी बुद्धिवाला दुर्योधन भीतर-ही-भीतर जलने लगा

teṣāṃ duryodhanaḥ śrutvā tāni vākyāni jalpatām | yudhiṣṭhirānuraktānāṃ paryatapyata durmatiḥ ||

เมื่อทุรโยธน์ผู้มีใจคดได้ยินถ้อยคำของชาวเมืองผู้ภักดีต่อยธิษฐิระ เขาก็ถูกเผาผลาญอยู่ภายในด้วยความริษยาและความทุกข์ร้อน
