स तप्यमानो दुष्टात्मा तेषां वाचो न चक्षमे । ईर्ष्यया चापि संतप्तो धृतराष्ट्रमुपागमत्‌,इस प्रकार संतप्त हुआ वह दुष्टात्मा लोगोंकी बातोंको सहन न कर सका। वह ईर्ष्याकी आगसे जलता हुआ धृतराष्ट्रके पास आया

sa tapyamāno duṣṭātmā teṣāṃ vāco na cakṣame | īrṣyayā cāpi saṃtapto dhṛtarāṣṭram upāgamat ||

ผู้มีจิตชั่วนั้นถูกความร้อนรุ่มเผาผลาญอยู่ภายใน จึงทนถ้อยคำของพวกเขาไม่ได้ ครั้นลุกไหม้ด้วยความริษยา ก็ไปเฝ้าธฤตราษฏระ
