Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)

मा द्राक्षीस्त्वं कुलस्यास्य घोरं संक्षयमात्मन: । तथेति समनुज्ञाय सा प्रविश्याब्रवीत्‌ स्नुषाम्‌,“तुम अपनी आँखोंसे इस कुलका भयंकर संहार न देखो।” तब व्यासजीसे “तथास्तु/ कहकर सत्यवती अंदर गयी और अपनी पुत्रवधूसे बोली--

mā drākṣīs tvaṁ kulasyāsya ghoraṁ saṁkṣayam ātmanaḥ | tatheti samanujñāya sā praviśyābravīt snuṣām ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “อย่าได้เห็นด้วยตนเองถึงความพินาศอันน่าสยดสยองของวงศ์นี้.” ครั้นรับว่า “เป็นเช่นนั้น” แล้ว นางจึงเข้าไปภายในและกล่าวกับสะใภ้ของตน.
