Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)

तं तु सुप्तं पुरोद्याने गड्जायां प्रक्षिपामहे । अथ तस्मादवरजं श्रेष्ठ चैव युधिष्ठिरम्‌,“इसलिये नगरोद्यानमें जब वह सो जाय, तब उसे उठाकर हमलोग गंगाजीमें फेंक दें। इसके बाद उसके छोटे भाई अर्जुन और बड़े भाई युधिष्ठिरको बलपूर्वक कैदमें डालकर मैं अकेला ही सारी पृथ्वीका शासन करूँगा।' ऐसा निश्चय करके पापी दुर्योधन महात्मा भीमसेनका अनिष्ट करनेके लिये सदा मौका ढूँढ़ता रहता था

taṃ tu suptaṃ purodyāne gaṅgāyāṃ prakṣipāmahe | atha tasmād avarajaṃ śreṣṭhaṃ caiva yudhiṣṭhiram |

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “เมื่อเขาหลับอยู่ในสวนหลวง จงยกเขาขึ้นแล้วโยนลงแม่น้ำคงคา จากนั้นจงจับกุมอรชุนผู้น้อง และยุธิษฐิระผู้พี่อันประเสริฐไว้ด้วยกำลัง แล้วเราจักครองแผ่นดินทั้งปวงเพียงผู้เดียว”
