तस्मिंश्न॒ यजमाने वै धर्मात्मनि महाभुजे । उपागमंस्ततो देवा: सेन्द्रा देवर्षिभि: सह,“एक समय वे महाबाहु धर्मात्मा नरेश जब यज्ञ करने लगे, उस समय इन्द्र आदि देवता देवर्षियोंके साथ उस यज्ञमें पधारे थे
tasmiṁś ca yajamāne vai dharmātmani mahābhuje | upāgamaṁs tato devāḥ sendrā devarṣibhiḥ saha ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ครั้นพระราชาผู้ทรงธรรม ผู้มีพระกรอันเกรียงไกรกำลังกระทำยัญพิธีอยู่ เหล่าเทพทั้งหลายมีพระอินทร์เป็นประมุข ก็เสด็จมาพร้อมด้วยเหล่าเทวฤๅษี”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that dharmic rulership and properly conducted yajña are not merely social acts but cosmic ones: when a king acts in harmony with dharma and ritual duty, the divine realm is portrayed as responding with presence and approval.
As the righteous, powerful king begins/continues his sacrificial rite, the gods—headed by Indra—arrive at the sacrificial venue along with divine seers, marking the importance and legitimacy of the ceremony.
