पाण्डोः श्राद्धं, सत्यवत्याः वनगमनम्, बाल्यस्पर्धा च

Pāṇḍu’s Śrāddha, Satyavatī’s Withdrawal, and Childhood Rivalry

निशम्य वचन भर्तुर्वनवासे धृतात्मन: । तत्समं वचन कुन्ती माद्री च समभाषताम्‌,वनवासके लिये दृढ़ निश्चय करनेवाले पतिदेवका यह वचन सुनकर कुन्ती और माद्रीने उनके योग्य बात कही--

niśamya vacanaṁ bhartur vanavāse dhṛtātmanaḥ | tatsamaṁ vacanaṁ kuntī mādrī ca samabhāṣatām ||

ครั้นได้ฟังถ้อยคำของสวามีผู้แน่วแน่ต่อการพำนักในป่าแล้ว กุนตีและมาทรีก็กล่าวตอบด้วยวาจาอันสมควรและทัดเทียมกับพระดำริของพระองค์
