पाण्डोः श्राद्धं, सत्यवत्याः वनगमनम्, बाल्यस्पर्धा च

निराशीर्निनिमस्कारो निर्द॑न्द्धो निष्परिग्रह: । न चाप्यवहसन्‌ कच्चिन्न कुर्वन्‌ भ्रुकुटीं क्वचित्‌,न मुझे आशीर्वादकी इच्छा होगी न नमस्कारकी। मैं सुख-दुःख आदि द्वत्द्धोंसे रहित और संग्रह-परिग्रहसे दूर रहूँगा। न तो किसीकी हँसी उड़ाऊँगा और न क्रोधसे किसीपर भौंहें टेढ़ी करूँगा

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: nirāśīr ninimaskāro nirdvandvo niṣparigrahaḥ | na cāpy avahasan kaccin na kurvan bhrukuṭīṃ kvacit ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “เราจักไม่แสวงหาพรหรือความกรุณา และจักไม่ถวายคำนอบน้อมเพื่อหวังผลประโยชน์ เป็นผู้พ้นจากคู่ตรงข้ามเช่นสุขและทุกข์ และห่างไกลจากการแสวงหาและการสะสม เราจักไม่เยาะเย้ยผู้ใด และแม้ยามโกรธก็จักไม่ขมวดคิ้วใส่ผู้ใดเลย”
