बुद्धि न कुरुतेडपत्ये तथा राज्यानुशासने । सत्वं व्यपेक्षया भ्रातु:ः संतानाय कुलस्य च

Transliteration

buddhiṁ na kurute ’patye tathā rājyānuśāsane | sattvaṁ vyapekṣayā bhrātuḥ santānāya kulasya ca ||

Translation

เขามิได้นำดุลยพินิจของตนไปใช้ทั้งในเรื่องสืบเชื้อสายหรือในการปกครองแผ่นดินให้ถูกต้อง; หากแต่ด้วยคำนึงถึงประโยชน์ของพี่น้องและเพื่อให้สายสกุลดำรงต่อไป เขาจึงสำรวมตนและกระทำตามความคำนึงนั้น
