अभ्यगच्छत् तदैवाशु वृद्धामात्यं पितुर्हितम् । तमपृच्छत् तदाभ्येत्य पितुस्तच्छोककारणम्,तदनन्तर वे उसी समय तुरंत अपने पिताके हितैषी बूढ़े मन्त्रीके पास गये और पिताके शोकका वास्तविक कारण क्या है, इसके विषयमें उनसे पूछताछ की
abhyagacchat tadaivāśu vṛddhāmātyaṃ pitur hitam | tam apṛcchat tadābhyetya pituḥ tacchokakāraṇam ||
แล้วเขาก็มิได้ชักช้า รีบไปหาเสนาบดีชราผู้จงรักภักดีต่อประโยชน์ของพระบิดา ครั้นเข้าไปใกล้แล้ว จึงไต่ถามถึงเหตุแท้จริงแห่งความโศกของพระบิดา
