वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma in the form of responsible guardianship and rightful recognition: a child’s status and future duties are strengthened when elders and society openly acknowledge him, and divine or maternal protection is portrayed as supporting righteous order.
Gaṅgā, in a splendid form, comes forward holding her son’s right hand and shows the richly adorned boy Devavrata to others, formally presenting him and signaling his exceptional, divinely favored stature.
