वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुकक्‍्त्वा तु भीष्मस्तां रथमारोप्य भाविनीम्‌ | आगम्य हास्तिनपुरं शान्तनो: संन्यवेदयत्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! ऐसा कहकर भीष्मने उस भामिनीको रथपर बैठा लिया और हस्तिनापुर आकर उसे महाराज शान्तनुको सौंप दिया इति श्रीमहा भारते आदिपर्वणि सम्भवपर्वणि सत्यवतीला भोपाख्याने शततमो<ध्याय:

vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvā tu bhīṣmas tāṃ ratham āropya bhāvinīm | āgamya hāstinapuraṃ śāntanoḥ saṃnyavedayat ||
